Krista Jennings has been building gardens for 16 years and started this business in 2010. Beginning by building residential waterfall gardens on the East Coast, then continuing to build waterfalls in Lake Tahoe, she is now focused on design and transforming entire residential landscapes after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture: Garden Design with CAD Skills from SRJC. She is also QWEL (Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper) certified with extensive studies in Permaculture and Sustainable Agriculture. She has designed Italian style, drought-tolerant and California native gardens that are a perfect match for our Mediterranean climate, along with bird-watching gardens, cottage style gardens, winery residential gardens, and specialty succulent gardens, shade gardens, wildland forest and Redwood gardens, moon gardens along with numerous waterfalls and fountains.
Her mission is to create environments that people will cherish and enjoy, whether they have a small apartment patio, or a grandiose estate. With the right design and elements, you can have color, fragrance, texture, wildlife and edible treats to enhance your outdoor space.
Her motto is Balance begins at home
, because this is where you will come to rejuvenate and relax with your loved ones. A little investment will go a long way when put in the right direction.
Krista works with whoever is best for each job -- alongside current gardeners, with interested homeowners to do installations, handling jobs solo, or partnering with other professional personal connections to ensure quality details to each garden.
"Krista is an amazing designer and has the utmost integrity of anyone I've ever worked with. She listens and always has many suggestions for solving any problem. She aims to please and has a very gentle, straightforward approach. I highly recommend Krista for all garden related projects." - LN Klarberg, Sebastopol
"Working with Krista was an incredible experience. She has wonderfully creative designs ideas that beautifully enhanced both yard spaces. Krista understood our goals to replace the front-yard lawn with drought-resistance landscape and in the back-yard remove our unused in-ground pond from view. Results were so much better than imagined.
For the front yard, we used a $2,000 rebate from the State of California. The rebate had restrictions for types of plants/trees used, irrigation system and a deadline. Krista worked with these restrictions without complaint, and finished before the deadline.
Krista gave us the tools to keep the yards beautiful with the irrigation system. Krista ensured we understood how the irrigation stations were scheduled to run, the duration of time for each station and the days each station ran. Krista provided a template for documenting the schedule, which she filled-out first and showed us how to update when we changed the irrigation schedule.
Our front yard turned out so beautiful and easy to maintain, that we asked Krista to re-create our backyard. She turned our backyard into an inviting space for outdoor entertaining with native, drought-resistant plants plus raised beds for growing flowers and vegetables." - Barbara Rosenberry, Santa Rosa
"Before Green Reflections our yard was just a weed patch and we hated coming home to it. Krista created a beautiful and functional space where we enjoy spending time watching the hummingbirds, bees and butterflies it attracts. Krista pays attention to client preferences and budget, is great at planning for irrigation needs and is easy to work with. She was a great choice for us and our neighbors frequently ask for our landscaper's name." - The Covingtons, Santa Rosa
